Osteopathic Manipulative therapy (O.M.T.)

Practitioners uses manual medicine to diagnose and treat "somatic dysfunction"  by manipulating the bones and muscles of a patient to restore the body's maximal function, reduce pain and assist in increasing wellness and injury recovery.

Common forms of manipulation used today that a patient may encounter include:

1. Cranial-sacral
1. Strain - Counterstrain

1. High velocity-low amplitude (HVLA) (the classic "thrust" technique)

1. Muscle energy

1. Myofascial release
